Fix a QR code that will not scan

Work from the destination and final exported image toward the decorative choices.

Verify the destination first

Open the encoded address directly. A valid-looking code can still lead to an unavailable page or an incorrect address. Check redirects and whether the destination requires an account your audience may not have.

Inspect the final image

Look for clipping, blur, low contrast or a missing quiet margin. Avoid placing the code over a busy photo. If you resized a raster export substantially, generate a more suitable output instead of relying on interpolation.

Remove variables one at a time

Return to a plain code without a logo or decorative treatment. Scan that version, then reintroduce one change at a time. Keep the working reference so you can distinguish a design problem from a problem with the destination or scanner.
